Compass College of Cinematic Arts offers a highly competitive tuition model and the opportunity for federal aid. The advantage is found in Compass College's affordable, accelerated program.

Is there an application fee and deposit?
A non-refundable application fee of $25 is required with the completed application. Upon acceptance into the program, a $250 deposit is required for U.S. students to reserve a seat in the program. For International students, a $500 USD deposit is required. 

What will equipment and textbooks cost?
There are a variety of textbooks required for the A.A.S. and B.F.A. programs. More detailed information, including prices, can be found in our Amazon Bookstore. 

Compass College provides a majority of all equipment necessary for creating quality productions. However, all students (A.A.S. and B.F.A.) must obtain certain equipment to fulfill their program and course requirements. A MacBook Pro (required computer) and a camera (not required, strongly recommended) will cost approximately $3,000. Adobe Premiere Pro Software can be purchased subscription-style for $30 per month via the Adobe Creative Cloud for students. Are Payment Plans available?
Payment for first term is due August 16, 2016; for second term, December 29, 2016; and for third term, May 8, 2017. On occasion, the college may offer other payment arrangements. All plans require the appropriate deposit before the first day of classes. Please call the financial aid office at 616-988-1000 with questions. 

How much is the Industry Trip?
This facilitated class trip is optional for any student who remains in good academic and financial standing. Students who participate in the trip can earn course credits. The trip takes students into the heart of the media industry and locations may include: Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, or Vancouver. Depending on the location and number of participants, the approximate cost of the Industry Trip is $1,800.
