It's all about the Story

Love telling stories? Well that's what filmmaking is all about. And it all starts with the script. Great acting, great shots, and great visual effects are certainly admirable, but if the script doesn't work, then all these great pieces don't add up to much.

Once you have the script worked out, you still have to adapt that script into a motion picture. And that's where all those other jobs come into play. Our courses take students through the writing process, but they also learn how the camera, sound, and art departments can shape the telling of a film's story.

No matter what your job is on a film production, you're part of the storytelling process. And that's why we place so much emphasis on the concept of “story” at CCCA.
